Kako javljaju turski mediji, avion Boeing 737-800 kompanije Pegasus Airlines, koji je doletio iz Izmira, pri slijetanju je skliznuo s piste.

Na snimcima koji se pojavljuju na društvenim mrežama vidi se da je letjelica izletjela na cestu i prepolovila se od siline udara.
Vidi se i plamen i spasilačke službe koje nastoje evakuisati putnike kroz pukotine letjelice. Požar je brzo ugašen, a u putničkom avionu je bilo 177 osoba.
